Build The Next Big UI – Competition Guidelines Overview Frontend Battle 2026 is a single-round design and development challenge where participants are required to showcase their creativity, problem-solving skills, and frontend development expertise. Teams must submit a PDF presentation highlighting their project idea, user experience, interface design, and implementation approach. Participants may choose any domain or real-world problem, including but not limited to AI, Healthcare, Education, Finance, Sustainability, Productivity, Smart Cities, E-Commerce, and more. Submission Requirements Submission Format One PDF presentation (2–6 pages) Individual or Team Participation Frontend-focused solutions only Backend implementation is optional Required Sections Problem Statement Clearly define the problem your solution aims to address. Explain its significance, target audience, and the challenges faced by users. Proposed Solution Describe your solution in detail, including key features, user flow, and how it effectively solves the identified problem. Tech Stack Used Mention the technologies, frameworks, libraries, design tools, and platforms used during development. Examples: React.js Next.js Vue.js Angular Tailwind CSS Bootstrap Figma Framer Motion AI Design Tools 4. Prototype Include visual representations of your solution such as: Github repo link Vercel link 5. Expected Impact Explain the value your solution creates, including: Target Users Benefits Social or Business Impact Real-world Applications 6. Future Scope Highlight potential future enhancements, scalability opportunities, integrations, and advanced features planned for upcoming versions. Judging Criteria Submissions will be evaluated on the following parameters: UI/UX Design Quality: Visual appeal, design consistency, accessibility, and overall user experience. Innovation & Creativity: Originality of the idea and uniqueness of the proposed solution. Problem-Solving Ability: Relevance of the identified problem and effectiveness of the solution. Prototype Quality: Clarity, completeness, functionality, and presentation of the design. Impact & Feasibility: Potential real-world value, scalability, and practicality of implementation. Submission Guidelines Submit a single PDF file (2–6 pages). Figma designs, wireframes, mockups, and developed frontend screenshots are all accepted. Participants may use any frontend framework, design tool, or technology stack. AI-assisted tools for design and development are permitted. The submitted work must be original and created by the participating individual or team. Plagiarism or copied designs may lead to disqualification. Deliverable Mandatory Deliverable One PDF Presentation (2–6 Pages) The competition primarily focuses on: Design Thinking User Experience Frontend Development Creativity & Innovation Problem-Solving Approach A fully functional backend is not required. Case Study Themes Participants may choose any one of the following themes or create their own innovative problem statement. Healthcare & Wellness: Design a platform that helps users monitor health, book appointments, access medical records, or receive AI-powered wellness recommendations. Education & Learning: Build an interactive learning platform that enhances engagement through personalized learning paths, progress tracking, and skill development. Sustainability & Environment: Create solutions focused on waste management, carbon footprint tracking, environmental awareness, or sustainable lifestyle practices. Business & Productivity: Develop a platform that improves task management, team collaboration, workflow automation, and productivity. AI & Future Technologies: Design an AI-powered application that enhances productivity, decision-making, content creation, research, or everyday experiences. Smart Cities & Civic Innovation: Create solutions that improve public services, citizen engagement, issue reporting, and access to government services. Finance & FinTech: Build a user-friendly platform for budgeting, expense tracking, investment insights, and financial literacy. E-Commerce & Customer Experience: Design modern shopping experiences with personalized recommendations, seamless navigation, and intuitive interactions. Gaming & Entertainment: Develop platforms for gaming communities, content discovery, event participation, creator engagement, or digital entertainment. Open Innovation: Participants may choose any real-world problem beyond the listed themes and develop a frontend solution that demonstrates creativity, innovation, and impact.
