About this hackathon

About the Assessment This Online Assessment is designed to evaluate participants on Data Structures and Algorithms, problem-solving ability, technical fundamentals, and Java programming concepts. The assessment follows a company-style Online Assessment (OA) format. Assessment Format The assessment consists of: 2 Coding Questions based on DSA and problem-solving 2 Domain-Based MCQs covering DBMS and Computer Networks 5 Java Programming MCQs covering core Java concepts Total Questions: 9 Total Marks: 100 Duration: 60 minutes Participation: Individual Sections Section 1 – Coding Longest Subarray With Equal 0s and 1s – 30 marks Minimum Platforms – 30 marks Section 2 – Technical MCQs DBMS – 10 marks Computer Networks – 10 marks Section 3 – Java Programming MCQs 5 questions – 4 marks each Eligibility The assessment is open to students with basic knowledge of programming and problem-solving. Participants should have a basic understanding of Java and fundamental Computer Science concepts. Participation is individual. Rules Participants must complete the assessment within the allotted time. Each participant can attempt the assessment only once. Participants must submit their own solutions. Plagiarism or copying from other participants is not permitted. Participants should not share questions, solutions, or assessment content with others. Coding questions will be evaluated using predefined test cases, including hidden test cases. Participants should ensure a stable internet connection before starting the assessment. Once the assessment begins, the timer will continue until the allotted time expires. No negative marking will be applied to MCQs. The assessment must be completed within the specified time limit. Evaluation Coding questions will be evaluated based on the correctness of the submitted program against the test cases. Hidden test cases will be used to verify edge cases and the efficiency of solutions. MCQs will be evaluated based on the selected answers. The maximum possible score is 100 marks. Assessment Process Register for the assessment. Read the instructions carefully before starting. Start the assessment within the specified time. Attempt the coding and MCQ sections. Submit the assessment before the timer expires. Results will be evaluated based on the participant's total score. Recommended Preparation Participants should be familiar with: Arrays Hashing Prefix sums Sorting Time and space complexity Basic Java syntax Object-oriented programming fundamentals DBMS fundamentals Computer Networks fundamentals Important Note Participants are advised to start the assessment only when they have sufficient uninterrupted time to complete it. The assessment is intended to evaluate individual technical and problem-solving skills.
