Drishti

Drishti is a UI/UX Design hackathon by Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT), Mumbai, designed for team participation. Conducted through online and offline stages, it gives participants the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, design thinking, and user-focused problem-solving abilities. Participants can showcase their skills in User Experience (UX) Design, User Interface (UI) Design, teamwork, and collaboration. From presenting past work to creating a working prototype and delivering a final pitch, Drishti offers a focused platform to transform ideas into compelling design solutions. Competition Structure: Round 1 - Shortlisting Round: This online selection round focuses on each team’s previous work. Both team members must submit their resume and portfolio or case study. Submissions will be assessed on design thinking, creativity, UX/UI skills, problem-solving ability, and overall design potential. The top 35 participants will advance to the offline finale. This round runs from 24 September 2026 to 2 October 2026. Round 2 - Offline Designathon & Final Pitch: Shortlisted teams will compete in an offline Designathon at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Mumbai. Teams will receive a new problem statement, then have 2 hours to understand the problem, ideate, design, and develop a working prototype. The round takes place on 9 October 2026. Rewards and Prizes: Rank 1: A cash prize of ₹10,000 and a certificate, recognising the leading team’s design achievement. Rank 2: A cash prize of ₹5,000 and a certificate, celebrating an outstanding design performance.
