PixxelHack 2.0 – Build. Innovate. Deploy. Welcome to PixxelHack 2.0, the flagship Web Development Hackathon organized by the TCET-ACM-SIGITE Student Chapter, the official ACM Student Chapter of Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET), Mumbai. Following the success of the inaugural edition, PixxelHack returns with a bigger vision—to challenge aspiring developers, designers, and innovators to build impactful web solutions that solve real-world problems. This edition places a special emphasis on crafting intuitive, responsive, and visually engaging web experiences, encouraging participants to combine creativity with strong design and development practices. Whether you're a seasoned hackathon enthusiast or participating for the first time, PixxelHack 2.0 provides an exciting platform to showcase your creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities. This year's edition follows a two-round selection process, ensuring that teams not only demonstrate strong technical implementation but also present well-thought-out ideas with practical impact. Event Timeline: Registrations Open: Now Registration Closes: 3rd August 2026 Round 1 – Ideation & Proposal Submission Duration: 2nd August – 3rd August 2026 Round 2 – Development Sprint Duration: 7th August – 8th August 2026 Team Size: Team Size: 2 Members Cross-college teams are allowed. Each participant can be a member of only one team. Teams with a mix of TCET-ACM-SIGITE Student Chapter members and non-members are permitted. However, such teams are not eligible to register under the Chapter Member registration category and must register under the applicable Non-Member category. Mode of Hackathon: PixxelHack 2.0 will be conducted entirely online, allowing participants from across the country to compete remotely. Problem Statements: Participants will be provided with a curated set of real-world problem statements at the start of Round 1. Each team must select one problem statement and develop an innovative, user-centric web solution that emphasizes usability, responsiveness, accessibility, and an engaging user experience while effectively addressing the chosen challenge. Prizes: 1st Prize: ₹3,000 2nd Prize: ₹2,000 3rd Prize: ₹1,000 All eligible participants will receive certificates as per the event guidelines. Judging Criteria: Round 1: Problem Understanding Innovation & Creativity Technical Feasibility Solution Design Presentation Quality Round 2: Functionality & User Experience Interface Design & Responsiveness Innovation & Creativity Technical Implementation Practical Impact Final Demonstration Development Guidelines: Participants are free to use any programming language, framework, technology stack, or cloud platform of their choice. While all technologies are welcome, teams are encouraged to prioritize creating polished, responsive, and intuitive web experiences that effectively solve the chosen problem statement. Solutions must be developed as web-based applications. The final submission must include a publicly accessible deployed application. Teams are encouraged to build solutions that are scalable, practical, and impactful. Why Participate?
