Portland has always built things that matter. Now it's time to build what's next. The Oregon State Claude Hackathon is the first statewide AI build event uniting engineers, artists, designers, and experimenters under one roof — online and in person — for a single day of creating with Claude and Vibes DIY. Whether you're shipping production-grade agent pipelines or deploying your first app in an afternoon, there's a track built for you. 100 spots per track. Don't sleep on it. What is this? This is a hybrid hackathon — part Claude Code deep-build, part Vibes DIY creative sprint — happening simultaneously online and in person across Oregon. It's beginner-friendly and engineer-grade at the same time, because great building doesn't look one way. Two formats. Your choice: ⚡ In-Person — 3 hours. Focused. High-energy. The room will be electric. 🌐 Online — 48 hours. Build on your schedule, ship something serious. We're combining two events into one historic day: 🔵 Claude Code Hackathon — for engineers already working with frontier AI models, agent frameworks, tool-use pipelines, and modern LLM stacks. Build something ambitious. Judged by engineers, investors, and media. 🟡 Vibes DIY Track — for fast builders, designers, tinkerers, and anyone who wants to ship a real working app without wrestling a backend. Use Vibes DIY to go from idea to deployed in hours. Creativity and novelty win here. Both tracks use Claude. Both tracks are real.
