What is SpurHacks SpurHacks is Spur's premiere hackathon, poised to be Canada's largest hackathon hosted at RIM Campus - a venue with a rich history in Canadian history. This 3-day overnight event, running from June 20th to June 22nd, will welcome over 2,000 students from all across the Canadian tech sphere - SpurHacks is pioneering the next generation of Canadian technical and entrepreneurial talent. Spur enables a community that spurs innovation and support like no other incubator in Canada, offering unparalleled resources in quantum computing, high-performance computing, decentralized computing, and artificial intelligence. A strong and experienced mentorship program alongside a collaborative ecosystem has secured over $500M+ in assets under management and over 200 successful startups in the past decade. The Waterloo Region is one of the fastest-growing tech hubs on the planet—ranking second only to Silicon Valley in startup density. Here, innovation and entrepreneurship thrive, especially within the local university communities, Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo.
