About this hackathon
Build for Impact: The Pink Hack 🩷
What if one day of building could create something that genuinely helps people?
On 24 October at KU Lighthouse, we’re bringing together builders, creators, curious minds, and non-technical participants for a special Build for Impact edition during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
💡 The challenge is open:Build a digital solution around a problem you care about.
That could be around breast cancer or cancer support, health, accessibility, community, education, mental health, or another issue you believe deserves attention.
🩷 For this edition, we’ll give extra recognition to ideas that support people affected by breast cancer or cancer in some way. It doesn’t need to solve a medical problem. It could help people connect, find support, access information, raise awareness, or simply make one part of the experience easier.
💻 No coding experience is needed. For digital solutions, we’ll use Lovable, an AI app builder that lets you create working apps by describing what you want in plain English.
🔧 Atech will be there to support anyone who wants to explore hardware as part of their solution, and they’ll also provide kits for the winning team. Check them out at www.atech.dev.
💗 We’ll also have a short breast cancer awareness session and raise funds for Støt Brysterne, Kræftens Bekæmpelse, with donations going directly to the organization.
🎟️ Participation is free.🏆 Prizes: The winning person or team will take home Atech kits to keep experimenting, building, and developing their ideas after the event.
Come to build, connect, support a cause, and create something that matters.
