BioBridge – Bio Innovation Hackathon: About BioBridge: BioBridge is a bio-innovation hackathon focused on addressing real-world challenges across biotechnology and allied sectors. Participants will work in teams to develop practical, innovative and technology-driven solutions to selected biological problems. The hackathon features 36 problem statements across six core categories, along with an Open Bio Track. Tracks: Precision Biotherapeutics & Drug Discovery. Diagnostics & Medical Devices. Bioinformatics, Genomics & Bio-AI. Climate-Resilient Agriculture & Agri-Biotech. Functional Foods, Nutrition & Smart Proteins. Environmental, Industrial & Waste-to-Value Biotech. Open Bio Track. The challenges range from drug discovery, diagnostics and genomics to agricultural biotechnology, functional foods, environmental biotechnology, biosafety, regulatory technology and virtual laboratories. Eligibility & Team Rules: Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. Each team must apply from a single college/institution. Every team member must provide their full name, email address, phone number, course and year of study. The team lead will serve as the primary contact for application-related communication. Each team must select one problem statement. The selected problem statement will be locked once the team is shortlisted. Problem Statement Selection: Teams will select their challenge through two linked selections: Category → Problem Statement The available problem statements are filtered according to the selected category, allowing teams to easily identify and choose their challenge. Teams selecting the Open Bio Track – Wildcard must provide a self-proposed bio-related problem title. The proposed problem will be reviewed by the organising team before approval. Submission Format: Each team must submit one one-pager prepared using the template provided by the organisers. File format: PDF. Suggested maximum file size: 5 MB. Recommended naming format: TeamName_StatementCode.pdf The one-pager forms the core substance of the application and should be prepared according to the supplied template. Important: Each team should ensure that all information provided in the application is accurate and that every team member has a working email address and phone number. These details may be used for application acknowledgement, shortlist communication, session links and further event communication.
