About this hackathon
Build Your Own Arcade 🕹️
A one-day hardware hackathon on the new Arduino UNO Q
What if your game controller was your whole body? Or a squeezable ball, a flick of the wrist, a wave in the air?
On Saturday, you'll build your own arcade from scratch: a custom controller, a game of your own design, and a machine learning model you train yourself to tie them together.
What you'll do:
Design a game, from a simple reflex tester to something properly weirdBuild a controller with unusual inputs: gestures, buttons, joystick, motion, pressureTrain your own model with Edge Impulse so the game recognizes your movesDeploy it to the Arduino UNO Q and play it live
Who it's for
Everyone. Complete beginners are welcome. If you've never touched a microcontroller or trained a model, this is a great first project. Experienced makers will find plenty to push on.
What's provided
Arduino UNO Q boardsSensor kits with servos, steppers, pressure, force, humidity and temperature sensors, and moreLunch, drinks, and snacks all day
Just bring a laptop and your ideas.
How it works
Sign up individually and form teams of up to 4 on the day. Spend the day building, then finish with a live demo round where everyone gets to play each other's arcade creations.
Powered by Arduino and Edge Impulse.
