Overview

HackSMC is a 2-day hackathon (sadly with no overnight) where 100 community college students gather at Santa Monica College Bundy Campus, California, to build, learn, and collaborate. The event brings together experienced coders, designers, and beginners from all fields to work in teams and turn their ideas into real life.

With support from mentors in the industry, participants receive guidance, feedback, and encouragement throughout the event as they develop their projects and skills.

At its core, HackSMC aims to create an accessible and empowering hackathon experience that supports and uplifts community college students.
