One day. One build. The two biggest stories in tech, in the city where they collide. AI needs power. Power needs AI. Houston is the energy capital of the world, and on August 8 we're putting 30 builders in a room to hack on the intersection. The challenge Build anything at the intersection of AI and energy: agents, copilots, data tools, dashboards, automation. Your call. We'll drop starter prompts and public datasets (grid data, interconnection queues, energy documents) at kickoff, or bring your own idea. No energy background required. If you can build, you're in. Details 📅 Saturday, August 8, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM📍 Museum Distric, Houston (exact address shared on approval)👥 Solo or teams of up to 3. We'll help solo builders form teams at kickoff.🍳 Breakfast, lunch, and coffee all day, on us🏆 $1,750 in cash prizes: $1,000 / $500 / $250💻 Bring a laptop and charger. That's it. We score on: does it run, technical depth, creativity, and relevance to the theme. Who's behind this Hosted by Candid Intelligence, a Houston-based AI company automating front-end engineering for the energy buildout, backed by Quiet Capital, Schneider Electric Ventures, and Yann LeCun. We're hiring founding engineers, and events like this are how we like to meet people. Zero pressure — come for the build. Logistics Park on levels 2 or 3 (free first hour, $3/hr after — rideshare or carpool encouraged). Check in at the lobby front desk and we'll get you up to the 12th floor. Capped at 30. Registrations approved on a rolling basis, so grab a spot early.
