HackArena 2.0 – Chandigarh Zonals

HackArena 2.0 – Chandigarh Zonal Round: The Chandigarh Zonal Round of HackArena 2.0, the flagship hackathon of Ignite Room, will bring together talented student developers, designers, and innovators from across Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, and nearby regions. This round serves as one of the key qualifying stages for the HackArena 2.0 Grand Finale in Delhi. The event will be conducted as an 8-hour in-person hackathon, where shortlisted teams will build innovative solutions based on the theme of Generative and Agentic AI. Participants will collaborate, develop working prototypes, and present their ideas to a panel of judges and mentors. The top teams from this round will advance to the 24-hour HackArena 2.0 Grand Finale, where finalists from different zonal cities across India will compete. Theme: Generative & Agentic AI: Participants are encouraged to develop innovative applications using Generative AI models, AI agents, autonomous workflows, and intelligent systems that solve real-world problems and create meaningful impact. Eligibility: The hackathon is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from recognized colleges and universities. Participants must register as a team to participate in the hackathon. Teams must complete the online idea submission round to qualify for the Chandigarh Zonal Hackathon. Participants must carry a valid college ID card during the in-person event. Team Size: Teams must consist of 2–4 members. Participants cannot be part of multiple teams in the same or different zonal rounds. All team members must be registered during the application process. Competition Structure: Round 1: Online Idea Submission The first stage of the HackArena 2.0 Chandigarh Zonal Round will be an online idea submission round. Teams are required to submit a PPT/PDF presentation describing their proposed solution. The submission should clearly outline: Problem Statement Proposed Solution Technology Stack Implementation Approach Expected Impact and Future Scope Submissions will be evaluated by expert mentors based on innovation, clarity of approach, technical feasibility, and potential impact. Shortlisted teams will move on to the next round. Round 2: Chandigarh Zonal Hackathon (In-Person) Shortlisted teams will participate in the 8-hour Chandigarh Zonal Hackathon. During this stage: Teams will build a prototype or working demo of their solution. Participants will present their projects to a panel of judges and mentors. Teams may receive guidance and feedback from mentors during the hacking session. The top 10–12 teams from the Chandigarh zonal round will qualify for the HackArena 2.0 Grand Finale in Delhi. Participants must arrange their own travel to the event venue. Teams selected for the HackArena 2.0 Grand Finale in Delhi will receive accommodation and food during the final hackathon event. Important Rules: Teams are allowed to participate in only one zonal round. Participation in multiple zonal rounds is strictly prohibited. If any participant is found to have registered or participated in more than one zonal round, the team will be disqualified from the competition. If even one member of a team is found to have participated in another zonal round with a different team, both teams involved will be disqualified from the competition.
