UnivaBio is a global student competition open to students aged 13+ hosted collaboratively by BioCataalysis and UnivaDev in support of innovation at the intersection of healthcare and technology.
Theme: Technology for Human Health
This event specifically brings together young innovators from worldwide to explore technology’s role in human health. Working individually or in teams, participants will design and build a meaningful technical product that helps people detect illness earlier, understand it better, or live with it more easily.
Your project can take almost any form: an app, a website, a simulation, a system, or an algorithm. This can be an EdTech app teaching about specific health concepts, a classification model trained on imaging datasets, or an innovation that one wants to propose that has significant medical implications.
You are encouraged to use AI assistants while building. We want the technical barrier to be low enough that beginners with ambitious ideas can actually ship them. What matters is that you understand what you built and can explain it. Be prepared to walk judges through your own code.
