About Event Helden 72 is a 72-hour hackathon where IT students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) team up to build working training games, learning modules, and apps for real business cases from international companies. This is Chapter 1, taking place at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) in Malang from July 31 to August 2, 2026. You can join on campus or fully online. What you will do Get matched with a real training case from a participating company, a goal they want to reach through gamification, and build a working prototype in 72 hours: a game, a learning module, an app, or an interactive demo. On July 31 you scope the case live with the company and set the direction, then build and present to the case givers and the Helden team. By the end of the weekend you will have shipped something real, not just a slide deck. Who can join Active IT students from UMM only: Informatika, Teknik Informatika, Ilmu Komputer, Sistem Informasi, or related programs. You can sign up as an individual and we will help form teams at the start, or register with a team of up to four if you already have one. What you need A laptop, a working internet connection, and comfort with at least one programming language or a no-code or design tool. The rest you can pick up on the way. Format Hybrid. Join us in person at UMM Malang, or take part fully online. What you walk away with The best performers from this chapter move into a paid collaboration and internship pathway with Helden or a partner company, with real client work afterwards. How many spots open up depends on the strength of the cohort, so the door is open whether that means one student, a full team, or more. Every student who joins also gets access to the Helden talent network, the channel where partner companies post briefs, paid hackathon rounds, and hiring calls. Once you are in, you stay in the loop for what comes next. On top of that, you walk away with portfolio-ready work, mentorship from industry builders at Helden Inc. (a Dutch gamification and L&D agency working with brands like Heineken, KLM, ABN AMRO, and more), and a network of peers. For questions, contact Arbiyan, the event manager, at +6285647369766.
