Presented by FGF Brands For the past few years, "building an app" meant months of work, a full team, and a lot of luck. That's changed. Today, one person with the right AI tools can go from idea to working product in days. Cursor writes the code. Claude handles the logic. Bolt scaffolds the UI. The bottleneck isn't skill anymore — it's imagination and execution speed. The TMLS Agentic Hackathon is built around that reality. Five days. Real tools. Ship something that works. No prescribed problem. No required stack. We want to see what you build when the only constraint is: make it real by Friday. What does "agentic" mean? It means your AI isn't just autocompleting lines — it's reasoning, taking actions, and building alongside you. Think less "chatbot," more "co-founder that never sleeps." Cursor, Claude Code, Bolt, Lovable, v0, Replit — use whatever gets you to shipped fastest. Who should come? Developers and ML engineers who want to actually ship something. Product people who have an idea and want to build it. First-timers who've been watching from the sidelines and are ready to jump in. You don't need a team. Show up Monday and we'll find you one. The week: 📅 Mon May 25 — Kickoff · CSI Spadina, 9 AM Pitches, team formation, project lock. Lunch provided. 💻 Tue–Thu — Build · Wherever you work best Async. Mentor support on Slack. 📬 Thu May 29 — Submit · 2 PM deadline 🏆 Fri May 30 — Expo + Awards · Wisedocs, 12–4 PM Science-fair format. Judges rotate. Winners announced. Lunch + drinks. How projects are judged: A panel of 5–7 judges from the TMLS community scores every project on five criteria: Impact & usefulness — does it solve a real problem for a real person?Technical execution — did you actually build it, or just mock it up?Demo quality — can you show it working clearly and confidently?Novelty & creativity — is there a fresh angle or clever approach?Shipping mindset — does it feel like something that could go further? Prizes: 🥇 Winner — tickets to TMLS 2026 (June 17–18, CIBC Square) 🥈 Runner-up — sponsor prize kit 🗳️ People's Choice — voted live by attendees Offical Hackathon Rules Questions? info@torontomachinelearning.com Toronto Tech Week is a citywide celebration of the people building what’s next.
