About the challenge The Splunk AI Hackathon invites developers, security, IT and network engineers, and all AI-forward builders to create innovative solutions that combine AI with the power of Splunk. Participants will build intelligent applications that enhance observability, security/network operations and developer productivity using the latest Splunk AI capabilities. During the hackathon, teams will develop projects across three core tracks: Observability, Security, and Platform, while leveraging cutting-edge capabilities such as AI agents for Splunk apps, Splunk MCP Server, Splunk hosted models, AI Assistant, and AI-powered app development tools. Whether you're building AI-powered incident investigation tools, intelligent security workflows, or next-generation developer experiences for Splunk apps, this hackathon is an opportunity to experiment, innovate, and showcase what’s possible when AI meets operational data. With $20,000 in prizes, participants will compete to build the most impactful solutions that help organizations monitor systems smarter, detect threats faster, and unlock new ways to build on the Splunk platform. Full details and challenge requirements to be announced May 13th.
