Assistive Innovation Challenge is an online hackathon focused on building software that supports accessibility, autonomy, and independence for people with disabilities. Participants are invited to create assistive technology projects that address real challenges related to communication, mobility, learning, health, daily routines, safety, productivity, or independent living. Projects can be simple or advanced, but they should be designed with a clear purpose: helping people with disabilities navigate the world with greater confidence, access, and independence. This challenge is open to beginners, students, and experienced developers alike. Participants may compete individually or in teams. Whether you are building your first project or developing a more advanced prototype, the goal is to use technology thoughtfully and responsibly to create something meaningful. The Assistive Innovation Challenge is not only about building software. It is also about learning, raising awareness, and encouraging more people to think about how technology can be designed for inclusion from the beginning. Open to individual & team projects.
