EDGE NOVA 2026: 24-Hour National Level Hackathon Innovate. Build. Transform. EDGE NOVA 2026 is a 24-Hour National Level Hackathon organized by the SRMIST ACM SIGAI Student Chapter, bringing together passionate innovators, developers, designers, and problem-solvers from across the country to build impactful technology solutions for real-world challenges. The hackathon provides a dynamic platform for students to transform innovative ideas into functional prototypes while collaborating, learning, and competing in an exciting 24-hour innovation sprint. Whether you're passionate about Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Embedded Systems, Cybersecurity, or technology for social impact, EDGE NOVA 2026 is your opportunity to showcase your skills and create solutions that matter. Why Participate? Build innovative solutions within 24 hours. Collaborate with talented students from across India. Solve real-world challenges using cutting-edge technologies. Present your project before an expert jury panel. Network with fellow innovators, mentors, and industry professionals. Compete for exciting prizes, certificates, and national recognition. Event Format Stage 1 – Online Screening Round Present your proposed solution before the jury panel. Interactive presentation followed by a Q&A session. Screening Fee: ₹50 per participant (Non-refundable). Stage 2 – Final 24-Hour Offline Hackathon Venue: SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur Campus. Duration: 24 Hours. Shortlisted teams will compete in the final offline hackathon. Total Registration Fee: ₹300 per participant (₹50 Screening Fee + ₹250 Final Registration Fee). Team Size Minimum: 1 Member Maximum: 4 Members The hackathon is open to Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Diploma students from recognized institutions. Hackathon Tracks Edge AI & Intelligent Systems Develop intelligent applications using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Edge Computing, and Intelligent Automation. IoT & Embedded Systems Build innovative hardware-software solutions using IoT devices, embedded systems, sensors, robotics, and smart automation technologies. SDG & Social Impact Create technology-driven solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to address challenges in healthcare, education, agriculture, sustainability, accessibility, disaster management, environmental conservation, and community development. Cybersecurity & Smart Systems Design secure and resilient systems focused on digital security, smart infrastructure, privacy protection, secure communication, authentication, and intelligent cyber defense. ️ Technology Stack Participants are free to use any programming language, framework, hardware platform, or technology stack. AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Claude, and similar platforms are permitted, provided participants fully understand and can explain their implementation during evaluation. Judging Criteria Projects will be evaluated based on: Innovation & Creativity Technical Complexity Problem Solving Feasibility Real-World Impact User Experience Prototype Quality Presentation & Demonstration Important Information Teams may consist of 1–4 members. The screening round will be conducted online. The final hackathon will be conducted offline at SRMIST, Kattankulathur. Projects must be substantially developed during the hackathon. Previously completed projects are not permitted. Open-source libraries and publicly available APIs may be used. Every participant must possess a valid College/University ID. Basic refreshments, drinking water, internet connectivity, and power supply will be provided on a best-effort basis during the event.
