Unlike traditional hackathons with predefined themes, CodeYourCult follows an Open Innovation format, giving participants complete freedom to identify real-world problems and build innovative solutions with meaningful impact. Whether you're building your first hackathon project or validating your next startup idea, CodeYourCult provides the perfect environment to collaborate, experiment and ship products that solve real problems. Students from all branches and academic disciplines are eligible. Participants of all experience levels are welcome. ──────────────────────────────────────── Team Formation Team Size: 1 to 4 members Solo participation is allowed. Cross-college teams are allowed. Cross-specialization teams are allowed. Each participant may be a part of only one team. ──────────────────────────────────────── Hackathon Format Phase 1 | Registration & Idea Submission Register through Unstop and submit a presentation (PPT/PDF) outlining your proposed idea. Your presentation should include: Problem Statement Proposed Solution Technology Stack Expected Impact Implementation Approach Team Details Phase 2 | Shortlisting Participants will be shortlisted solely on the basis of their submitted presentation. The evaluation will focus on: Innovation & Originality Problem Understanding Technical Feasibility Potential Impact Clarity of Thought & Presentation Shortlisted participants will receive further communication regarding the offline finale. Phase 3 | 24-Hour Offline Build Sprint Shortlisted participants will compete in a 24-hour offline hackathon, transforming their ideas into working prototypes. Throughout the event, participants will receive mentorship, collaborate with fellow builders and present their final solution before an expert judging panel. Both software and hardware projects are welcome. ──────────────────────────────────────── Theme Open Innovation There are no predefined themes, tracks or problem statements. Participants are free to identify any real-world challenge and build an innovative, scalable and impactful solution. Whether it is AI, FinTech, HealthTech, ClimateTech, EdTech, Cybersecurity, Web3, Robotics, Productivity or something entirely different, the choice is yours. Think freely. Build boldly. Ship confidently. ──────────────────────────────────────── Judging Criteria Projects will be evaluated on: Innovation & Originality Problem Understanding Technical Implementation Product Design & User Experience Feasibility & Scalability Real-World Impact Working Prototype Final Demonstration & Presentation ──────────────────────────────────────── Facilities Participants will be provided with: High-speed internet Meals and refreshments throughout the event Dedicated workspace Mentor support Networking opportunities Participation certificates Swag and exciting prizes ──────────────────────────────────────── Rules Every participant must register through Unstop. Teams may consist of 1 to 4 members. Solo participation is permitted. Cross-college and cross-specialization teams are allowed. Both software and hardware projects are accepted. Participants may use open-source libraries and AI-assisted development tools unless otherwise specified by the organizers. Projects must be substantially developed during the hackathon. Plagiarism, copied submissions or violations of intellectual property rights will result in immediate disqualification. All submissions must be completed before the announced deadline.
