The offline participation fee of ₹1,100 is applicable only to shortlisted teams qualifying for Round 2 (Offline Registration) and is charged per team, not per participant.  #IEEEHackSynapse2026 IEEE HackSynapse 2026  is a National-Level 36 Hours Offline Hackathon organized by the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Student Branch Chapter and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Student Branch Chapter MITS-DU Gwalior in collaboration with HackIndia. IEEE HackSynapse 2026 is designed to challenge participants through multiple evaluation stages that assess problem-solving ability, product thinking, UI/UX design, presentation skills, and technical expertise across AI, Web3 & Blockchain, and Open Innovation. Participants are encouraged to leverage AI-powered development tools responsibly to build innovative, high-quality solutions. Tracks: AI Web3/ BlockChain Open Innovation Participants are encouraged to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Web3 and Modern Web Technologies to create transformative solutions under the themes of AI, Web3/Blockchain, and Open Innovation, driving technological advancement and societal impact. Eligibility: The hackathon is open to undergraduate students enrolled in any recognized college or university. Students from all engineering branches and related disciplines are eligible. Teams may also include students from disciplines such as Computer Applications, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Electronics, Design, Business, or other relevant fields. Inter-college teams are allowed. International students studying in recognized institutions are also eligible to participate. Every participant must possess a valid College ID. Important Dates: Registration Opens: 15 July 2026 Registration Closes: 23 August 2026, 11:59 PM IST Round 1 Submission Deadline: 23 August 2026, 11:59 PM IST Shortlisted Teams Announcement: 27 August 2026 Offline Registration & Fee Payment: 27 August - 2 September 2026, 11:59 PM IST Grand Finale: 5th Sept - 6th Sept 2026 For the Latest Updates: Follow us on: WhatsApp Community Code of Conduct Participants are expected to maintain professionalism, respect fellow participants, mentors, judges, and organizers, and uphold IEEE's standards of ethical conduct. Any misconduct, harassment, or unfair practices may result in immediate disqualification. Rules and Guidelines: Each team must consist of 3-4 members. Every team must appoint one Team Leader for all official communication. Joining the official Hackathon WhatsApp Community is mandatory for all team members.  The Team Leader must ensure that every team member joins the group. Team members may belong to different colleges or different years. Team composition cannot be changed after Round 1 submission without prior approval from the organizers. A participant can be part of only one team. Multiple submissions from the same team are not permitted. Accommodation will be provided for teams qualifying for the offline Grand Finale. The organizers reserve the right to modify the event schedule, rules, eligibility criteria, evaluation process, or any other aspect of the hackathon if required. In case of any dispute or unforeseen circumstances, the final decision shall rest solely with the organizing committee, and it shall be final and binding on all participants. Participants may use AI-assisted development tools responsibly. However, all teams must understand and be able to explain every aspect of their solution during evaluation. Any form of plagiarism or submission of copied work may lead to immediate disqualification. Rounds & Stages: Team Registration Registration is open from 15 July 2026 to 23 August 2026. Team size: 3-4 members. Registration for Round 1 is completely FREE. Teams must complete the online registration before the deadline. Teams must complete the online registration on the official HackIndia Website. (Link) Only registered teams will be eligible to participate in the hackathon. Round 1 – Idea Submission Participants must submit: Problem Statement Presentation (PPT) (PPT Template)  1.5 - 2 Minute Idea Pitch Video explaining the problem, proposed solution, innovation, and expected impact. GitHub Repository (Optional): Teams may include a repository link if they have developed a preliminary prototype. Final development will take place during the 36-hour Grand Finale. LinkedIn Profile of Team Leader Prototype/Demo/Portfolio Links (Optional) Submission Guidelines Teams must choose a problem statement from the official list available here:                                           Refer to Page 6 of the Brochure Tracks:  Artificial Intelligence (AI) ️Web3 & Blockchain Open Innovation Teams may also propose their own problem statement, provided it aligns with one of the hackathon tracks. Round 1 submissions must be made exclusively through the HackIndia Platform. Only the Team Leader is authorized to submit the team's entry. Each team is allowed only one submission. Once submitted, the entry cannot be edited, replaced, or resubmitted. Use the official PPT template only -• Submit the presentation in PDF format.• Upload a 1.5–2 minute video pitch via Google Drive.• Set Drive access to "Anyone with the link can view".• Attach the video pitch Google Drive link in the PPT.• Verify all submitted links before submission. Teams must ensure that all required documents and links are uploaded correctly before final submission. Shortlisting will be based on innovation, feasibility, technical approach, clarity of presentation, and potential impact. Any incomplete, late, or non-compliant submissions may be disqualified at the discretion of the organizing committee. Round 2: Shortlisting & Offline Registration Only shortlisted teams will qualify for the Grand Finale. Offline Participation Fee: ₹1,100 per Team Payment Window: 27 August - 2 September 2026 Registration will be confirmed only after successful payment. The registration fee is non-refundable. Grand Finale (36-Hours Offline Hackathon) Shortlisted teams will participate in the 36-hour offline hackathon at MITS-DU Gwalior. Teams will build and refine their solutions during the hackathon. Mentors from academia and industry will guide participants throughout the event. Final presentations and live demonstrations will be evaluated by an expert jury. Winners will be announced during the closing ceremony.
