The MENA Open Gateway Hackathon is an innovation challenge that brings together developers, startups, students, and technology enthusiasts from across the MENA region to build next-generation digital solutions using GSMA Open Gateway CAMARA APIs, the Nokia Network-as-Code platform, and 4G/5G network capabilities. As the MENA region accelerates its digital transformation through smart cities, digital finance, intelligent mobility, connected enterprises, and immersive tourism, this hackathon provides a platform to develop API-powered applications that solve real-world challenges using network intelligence. Participants will build solutions across seven challenge themes, demonstrating how standardized network APIs can power secure, scalable, and intelligent digital services while unlocking new business opportunities across the region. The competition offers exciting rewards, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes, along with the opportunity for winning teams to showcase their solutions at MWC Doha (November 2026). The hackathon aims to reward innovation by recognizing impactful solutions built using Open Gateway APIs. It also supports startup development, fosters collaboration, and demonstrates the business value of network intelligence through scalable, real-world use cases. Participation is open to individuals and teams, including freelancers, working professionals, early-stage startups, students, and anyone passionate about technology.
