About this hackathon
Kids don’t just learn to code here — they learn to build. It starts with paper, pencil, and crayons: find a person with a real problem, and write down what they actually need (not just what would be fun to make). Then sketch the idea by hand, photograph it, and watch an AI image tool turn a rough drawing into something that looks like a real product.
The heart of the day is a lesson in prompting — which is really a lesson in saying exactly what you mean. The tool builds what you tell it, not what you meant to say. Skip a detail and it fills the gap with its own idea, usually not the one you had in mind.
From there, kids move into a hands-on Replit workshop. Then it’s game on: the Viber Kids Competition, where each kid races to build and pitch a real, working product from their idea.
Parents are welcome to help younger kids steer their vision — and by the end of the day, you’ll see sketches come to life as fully built games and apps, often startlingly close to what the kids first imagined on paper.
