About the Opportunity OneJourney Mobility Hackathon 2026 Theme: Reimagining Urban Mobility & Daily Commute in India OneJourney is building India’s smartest AI-powered mobility super app with intelligent comparison, and strong focus on women safety. We are organizing this hackathon to find innovative solutions that can solve real-world problems in daily commuting. Eligibility Open to all college students (Undergraduate & Postgraduate) across India. Team size: 1 to 4 members. Inter-college teams are allowed. Inter-specialization teams are allowed (Engineering, Design, MBA, etc.). Individual participation is also allowed. Hackathon Format & Process (3 Rounds) Round 1: Idea Submission Teams submit their idea proposal. Submission includes: Problem Statement, Proposed Solution, Tech Stack, and Team Details. Top 50–80 teams will be shortlisted. Round 2: Prototype Development Shortlisted teams build a working prototype / MVP. Submission: GitHub link, 3–5 minute demo video, and presentation. Round 3: Grand Finale (Live Online) Top 10–12 teams present their solution live in front of judges. 8 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A. Winners announced on the same day. Problem Statements / Tracks Participants can build solutions in any of the following tracks: Smart Multi-Modal Journey Planner: Build an intelligent system that plans and books the best combined journeys using Metro, Bus, Train, and last-mile transport. Women Safety & Secure Commute: Create innovative solutions to make daily commuting safer and more secure for women. Carbon Reduction & Green Mobility: Develop tools to encourage and reward low-carbon and eco-friendly commuting habits. Transparent Pricing & No-Surge Systems: Design a fair and transparent pricing system that eliminates surge pricing and extra cash demands. Real-time Public Transport Integration: Build a unified real-time tracking and integration system for MTC buses, Metro, and local trains. Driver Experience & Earnings Platform: Create solutions to improve driver earnings, experience, and satisfaction in the mobility ecosystem. Open Innovation in Mobility: Build any creative and impactful solution that solves major problems in urban daily commuting. Beyond the prize money Chance to get PPIs + job & internship opportunities Certificate of Participation for all participants who successfully submit in Phase 2 Direct access to industry experts, founders, and AI practitioners. Rules All submissions must be original work of the team. Use of open-source libraries and public APIs is allowed. Teams must respect intellectual property rights. Plagiarized or copied ideas will lead to disqualification. Judges’ decision will be final. Participants must maintain professionalism during all rounds.
