FAR AWAY is an international hackathon for students and young builders aged 15–25, organised by Zuup a teen-led nonprofit under Zylon Labs. This is not your average hackathon. The top 5 teams win a fully sponsored trip to Japan lights, hotel, and meals, all covered. Who Can Participate Anyone aged 15–25. No prior experience required. Beginners are welcome. You can register solo and form a team later once our dashboard goes live. Format: 3 Rounds Round 1: Online. Build your project from anywhere in India. Opens first week of June 2026. Round 2: In-person, New Delhi. Top teams present prototypes. Mid-June 2026. Round 3: Grand Finale, Japan. Top 5 teams fly fully sponsored. Late June / July 2026. Rules: No restrictions on tools, frameworks, or AI usage. Build whatever solves a real problem. Projects must be original work. Teams of up to 4 members allowed. Solo registrations accepted. What You Win: Top 5 teams fully sponsored trip to Japan including flights, accommodation, and meals. Grand prize for the winning team to be announced. All finalists receive official certificates and access to the Zuup alumni network. Top performers get fast-tracked for internship opportunities with partner companies. About Zuup: Zuup is a youth-led nonprofit that has run workshops, summits, and residential programs across India. SME Business of the Year 2025. Shark Tank India Season 5 Phase 1. Microsoft backed. Applications already received from 26+ cities across India, Morocco, Egypt, Pakistan, UAE, USA, and Brazil.
