Algo Arena – DSA Hackathon 1.0 is a competitive offline coding hackathon designed for students who want to strengthen their Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) skills, experience real interview-style problem solving, and connect with industry professionals from top MNCs. This hackathon is focused on logic building, problem solving, coding speed, and algorithmic thinking through a timed challenge environment. The event will be conducted offline in Bhopal on 24th May 2026. Event Details Event Name: Algo Arena – DSA Hackathon 1.0 Date: 24th May 2026 (Sunday) Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM Mode: Offline Venue: Offline Event Venue Participation Type: Individual / Solo Eligibility Criteria Algo Arena is open to all students and coding enthusiasts across India. Eligible participants include: Students from any college, branch, stream, or academic year Beginners with basic programming knowledge Students preparing for placements and coding interviews DSA learners and competitive programmers Anyone interested in improving problem-solving skills Basic Requirements Participants should know: Loops Conditional statements Basic programming syntax No advanced DSA knowledge is mandatory. Hackathon Format The event is a solo coding competition No team participation is allowed Participants will solve multiple DSA-based coding problems within a fixed time duration Problems will range from beginner to intermediate level Ranking will be based on: Accuracy Speed Efficiency of solutions Topics Covered Problems in the hackathon will be based on: Arrays & Strings Hashing Sliding Window Two Pointer Prefix Sum & Suffix Sum Difference Array Time & Space Complexity All questions will be interview-oriented and logic-focused. Event Schedule Time Activity 9:00 AM – 9:30 AM Registration & Check-In 9:30 AM – 9:45 AM Welcome Address & Rules Briefing 9:45 AM – 1:00 PM Main Hackathon Challenge 1:00 PM – 1:30 PM Leaderboard & Winner Announcement 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM Awards Ceremony Evening Resort Celebration for Top 3 Winners Rules & Guidelines Participation Rules This is strictly an individual competition One participant can register only once Participants must report on time at the venue Valid college ID or government ID is mandatory Coding Rules Internet access is allowed Copying code from other participants is prohibited Any plagiarism or unfair means will lead to direct disqualification Participants can use any programming language General Rules Maintain discipline and professional behavior Respect judges, mentors, volunteers, and participants The organizing committee’s decision will be final in all cases Judging Criteria Participants will be evaluated on: Correctness of solutions Number of problems solved Time taken to solve problems Code efficiency and optimization Overall leaderboard ranking Partial scoring may be awarded for partially correct solutions.
