Event Overview: Tekathon '26 is an inter-college hackathon organized by TIB IDEA CAFE, Techno International Batanagar, aimed at fostering innovation, creativity, and real-world problem-solving among students. This hackathon provides a dynamic platform for participants to ideate, collaborate, and build impactful solutions using modern technology. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced developer, Tekathon challenges you to push your limits and turn ideas into reality. Participants will develop innovative solutions, create prototypes, and showcase their technical and problem-solving skills. General Guidelines: The hackathon is open to students currently enrolled in any college or university Teams can be formed across different colleges Participants are free to choose or work on the given problem statements Solutions must be innovative and technically feasible All participants must adhere to deadlines for each round Rules & Regulations: Team Formation: Each team must have 2–4 members. No changes are allowed after registration. Prototype Allowance: Participants may bring pre-built prototypes, but significant development must take place during the hackathon. Original Work: Final solutions must be original and show clear progress made during the event. Problem Statement Compliance: Teams must strictly follow the given problem statement. Fair Usage: Open-source resources are allowed; plagiarism is strictly prohibited. Submission: Teams must submit the prototype, demo video, and presentation within the deadline. Evaluation Criteria: Judging will be based on innovation, functionality, design, impact, and presentation. Code of Conduct: Participants must maintain discipline and respect. Any misconduct will result in disqualification. Resources: Participants must bring their own devices and required materials. Final Decision: Judges’ decisions will be final and binding. Hackathon Structure: Round 1: Online Submission Teams must submit: A PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) explaining their idea A Prototype Video demonstrating the concept Evaluation Criteria: Innovation Feasibility Problem relevance Clarity of presentation Round 2: Offline Grand Finale Shortlisted teams will be invited for a 9-hour offline hackathon at Techno International Batanagar Teams will build, refine, and present their projects Mentors will be available for guidance throughout the event Hackathon Perks: Certificate of Achievement for winners Certificate of Participation for all participants Prize Pool worth ₹10,000+ and exciting rewards Networking opportunities with developers and innovators Hands-on experience in real-world problem solving Hackathon Timeline: Online Submission Deadline: 30 April 2026 Final Selection: Will be notified later On-Campus Final Round: May 2026 Final Evaluation & Judging: Teams must present their final project to the judges Evaluation will be based on: Innovation & Creativity Technical Implementation Practical Impact Presentation Skills Teams may present: A Live Demo, or A Working Prototype Submission Guidelines (Round 1): Each team must submit: A PPT (Maximum 7 slides) including: Problem Statement Proposed Solution Architecture / Flow Diagram Tech Stack Future Scope A Prototype/Demo Video clearly explaining the idea and approach Mentorship & Support: Mentors will guide shortlisted teams during the offline round Organizers will provide support throughout the hackathon Important updates will be shared via official communication channels Call to Action: Get ready to innovate, collaborate, and compete at Tekathon 2K26!
