The World Cup was just in LA—but now, the robots will take to the pitch! Join AI LA and Qualcomm Technologies for a high-octane, day-long hack event where code meets the pitch. We’re putting the power of the Arduino® UNO™ Q board into your hands to train the next generation of digital athletes. Whether you’re a seasoned robotics engineer or an AI enthusiast, this is your chance to build, train, and compete in the ultimate 1-on-1 robot soccer showdown. The Hack: Training Your Star Player The morning kicks off with an intensive "Training Camp." You’ll be equipped with a pre-assembled robot car and an UNO Q —a dual-brain powerhouse that combines Arduino simplicity with a Linux-capable Qualcomm® processor. Using tools like Arduino® App Lab and Edge Impulse, you’ll develop the computer vision and logic your robot needs to: Identify the ball on the fieldOutmaneuver opponents in real-timeStrike with precision to find the back of the net Bonus points for goal celebrations! The Tournament: 1-on-1 World Cup Style Once the training whistles blow, the real games begin! We are hosting a 32-team, single-elimination tournament across three dedicated playing fields. Format: 1-on-1 Robot Soccer.Duration: 5-minute lightning matches.The Stakes: It’s "Win or Go Home." Only the victors move up the bracket.Don’t worry – if you get knocked out in the first couple rounds, we’ll host a Redemption Bracket so you can continue competing for additional prizes.Tie-Breakers: If the score is level, ball touches will determine who had the most "hustle" on the field!
