Codex Community Build Hackathon – Bangalore Welcome to Bangalore’s Codex Community Build Hackathon. Join us for a focused morning of building with Codex. Build something new, improve an existing project, or experiment with agentic software-development workflows using Codex. Explore parallel tasks, Skills, worktrees, and other ways to build with greater speed and ambition. This is a hands-on community hackathon designed to keep the room collaborative, high-signal, and focused on shipping. Who this hackathon is for This hackathon is designed for developers and builders curious about Codex and agentic software engineering. No prior experience with Codex is required, although basic familiarity with software-development tools is recommended. We will begin with a short introduction to help everyone get started. How it works Participants may work individually or in teams of up to four members. You could: Start a new project from scratchExtend an existing or open-source projectPrototype a developer tool or agent workflowExperiment with Codex Skills and parallel tasksImprove an existing project using Codex Given the limited build time, participants are encouraged to arrive with a project idea or an existing repository they would like to develop further. Suggested build directions Projects may explore areas such as: Agentic Coding: Developer tools and workflows that maximise leverage from CodexAI-Native Developer Experience: Interfaces and workflows designed around coding agentsDomain Agents: Agents designed for specific industries or real-world constraintsMultimodal Applications: Applications that work across text, images, audio, or other modalitiesAgent Evaluation: Tools for measuring, debugging, and improving agent performanceOpen Source: Contributions or improvements to existing open-source projects These are suggestions rather than restrictions. Participants are welcome to build in any direction where Codex plays a meaningful role. Project demos and judging Participants will have an opportunity to present what they built during a short project showcase. Each participating team should be prepared to share: A brief explanation of the problemHow Codex was usedA short product demonstrationA GitHub repository or project link, where applicable Projects will be reviewed based on what was built, how meaningfully Codex was used, and the clarity of the final demonstration. Prizes To be announced soon. Venue and event partner This hackathon is being hosted with support from Dodo Payments, the billing and payments platform for AI-first and SaaS companies. Dodo Payments helps digital businesses sell across 220+ countries using 80+ currencies and 40+ local payment methods, while handling tax compliance, fraud, and chargebacks. It also supports usage metering, credit-based billing, and subscriptions. Dodo Payments will also be bringing a few surprises for builders, which will be announced soon.
