About this hackathon

About the Opportunity: QuantStorm 2026 is a national quantitative finance and market-making competition jointly organized by QATC, IIT Delhi, Quant Club, IIT Bombay, and Finance and Economics Club, IIT Guwahati, with Jane Street and Optiver as Title Sponsors and QRT as an Associate Title Sponsor. Eligibility: Open to undergraduate students in India. Individual participation in both rounds. Mandatory WhatsApp Link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/ELJQfcO8VUT3nmwhdXvhmw Schedule: Round 1: 17th August 2026 Round 2: 25th September 2026 Approximately 40 participants are expected to qualify for Round 2. This number is tentative and may be revised. Competition Format: Round 1 – Trading Games: Online round comprising basic trading and market-making games. Focuses on intuition, probability, mathematical reasoning, and quantitative aptitude. Participants will be evaluated based on their performance across the games. Round 2 – Market Simulation: Offline round at the IIT Bombay campus. A realistic market simulation designed to resemble an actual trading environment. Focuses on fast thinking, decision-making, and adapting to changing market conditions. Detailed information regarding the simulation and evaluation methodology will be provided to qualifying participants. General Rules: Participation is strictly individual. Collaboration between participants is not permitted. Unauthorized external assistance is prohibited. Any attempt to manipulate or interfere with the competition platform may result in disqualification. Detailed rules and evaluation criteria will be communicated before each round. The organizers reserve the right to make decisions regarding eligibility, scoring, and disqualification.
