The Odoo x Allenhouse Kanpur Hackathon 2026 is a multi-round coding competition designed to evaluate participants on problem-solving ability, real-world thinking, teamwork, and execution under pressure. This hackathon focuses not just on building a project, but on how effectively you approach and solve impactful problems. Team leaders must complete registration on the Odoo portal and add all team members. Register here: https://hackathon.odoo.com/event/odoo-x-allenhouse-kanpur-hackathon-26-19/register Eligibility Criteria Open to students, freshers, and coding enthusiasts (18+ years) Participants from any college, institute, or specialization can apply Inter-college teams are allowed Inter-specialization teams are allowed Team size: Minimum 1 and Maximum 4 members No prior hackathon or industry experience required Hackathon Format & Process The hackathon consists of two major rounds: Virtual Round (Online Screening) Date: 17 May 2026 Duration: 8 Hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) Mode: Online Process: Surprise problem statements will be released at 9:00 AM Teams must select and submit one problem statement (only by team leader) Teams will develop a functional solution/prototype within 8 hours Submission will be evaluated based on: Problem understanding Solution approach Code quality UI/UX Practical feasibility Result Declaration: 22 May 2026 (Top teams shortlisted) Final Round (Offline Grand Finale) Date: 27–28 June 2026 Duration: 24 Hours Mode: Offline (On-campus) Process: Shortlisted teams will participate in a 24-hour coding marathon New surprise problem statements will be revealed at the start Teams must build a complete working solution Final evaluation will include: Innovation & creativity Technical implementation Real-world usability Scalability & performance Presentation & demonstration Technical Guidelines Mandatory Requirements Use real-time or dynamic data sources Build a responsive and user-friendly UI Ensure proper input validation Maintain clear navigation and usability Use version control (Git) collaboratively across the team Recommended Practices Design backend APIs and database models Avoid blind usage of AI-generated code Consider offline/local-first solutions Use technologies that add actual value to your solution Rules & Regulations Only the team leader must register the team All team members must accept the invitation via platform/email Each team can submit only one solution per round Plagiarism or copying will lead to immediate disqualification Teams must adhere to timelines strictly Any misconduct or unfair means will result in disqualification Participants must bring their own laptops for the final round No TA/DA or allowances will be provided Once registered in an Odoo hackathon, participants cannot apply for another Odoo hackathon for 3 months Additional Information Registration is free and mandatory Only the team leader will receive official communication and instructions Teams are advised to check emails regularly for updates All programming languages and tech stacks are allowed Evaluation Criteria (Overall) Problem clarity and relevance Innovation and uniqueness Technical execution UI/UX design Scalability and real-world applicability Team collaboration and presentation
