About NexBuildOn Community: NexBuildOn Community is a next-generation tech community dedicated to bringing together students, developers, creators, innovators, and industry professionals through impactful tech events, collaborative initiatives, leadership opportunities, innovation, and meaningful networking. We organize Tech Talks, Hackathons, Ideathons, Techathons, Workshops, Community Meetups, Developer Conferences, Coding Competitions, AI Showcases, Open Source Programs, and various technology initiatives while establishing NexBuildOn College Chapters across engineering colleges and universities throughout India. About NexBuildOn Hack 2026 NexBuildOn Hack 2026 is the flagship national online hackathon organized by NexBuildOn Community, bringing together students from across India to solve real-world challenges through technology and innovation. The hackathon is designed to foster creativity, teamwork, technical excellence, and problem-solving by providing participants with an opportunity to transform innovative ideas into impactful solutions. The competition follows a structured three-stage format: Round 1: Ideathon Round 2: Prototype Development Grand Finale: Live Project Presentation Finalists will present their solutions before an expert judging panel. Theme Innovating for Real-World Impact Participants are encouraged to leverage technology to solve practical challenges that create meaningful social, environmental, and economic impact. Eligibility The hackathon is open exclusively to students currently pursuing: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) –  Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Participants must be enrolled in a recognized institution in India. Team Composition Minimum Team Size: 2 Members Maximum Team Size: 4 Members Cross-college teams are allowed. Cross-year teams are allowed. Each participant may register with only one team. Individual participation is not permitted. Hackathon Timeline Registration Phase 31 July – 09 August 2026 Round 1 – Ideathon 10 August – 12 August 2026 Teams will select one problem statement and submit an innovative solution proposal in the form of a presentation. Deliverables PPT Presentation (Maximum 12 Slides) Submission Deadline 12 August 2026 | 11:59 PM IST Shortlisting Announcement 13 August 2026 The Top 20 Teams will qualify for the Prototype Development Round. Round 2 – Prototype Development 14 August – 15 August 2026 Shortlisted teams will develop a working prototype based on their proposed solution. Grand Finale 16 August 2026 The shortlisted teams will present their projects live before the judging panel via Google Meet. Individual registrations are not permitted. Each participant may be a member of only one team. Cross-college and cross-year teams are allowed. Teams must complete registration through Unstop before the deadline. All submissions must be original work. Plagiarism or copyright infringement will result in immediate disqualification. Participants may use open-source libraries, APIs, frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools, provided they comply with their respective licenses and can explain their implementation during evaluation. Organizers reserve the right to verify project originality. Failure to submit deliverables before the deadline may result in disqualification. Teams qualifying for the Grand Finale must attend and present their project during the scheduled session. The decision of the judging panel shall be final and binding. NexBuildOn Community reserves the right to amend the schedule, rules, or evaluation process in the interest of the event. Code of Conduct Participants are expected to maintain professionalism, integrity, and respect throughout the hackathon. Harassment, discrimination, plagiarism, offensive behaviour, cheating, or any attempt to manipulate the evaluation process will result in disciplinary action, including possible disqualification. Intellectual Property All participating teams retain full ownership of their intellectual property. By participating, teams grant NexBuildOn Community permission to feature project titles, abstracts, screenshots, photographs, and demonstration videos for promotional and educational purposes with appropriate attribution.
