The Mezo Hackathon is back — with bigger prizes and harder problemsMezo is a Bitcoin-native sidechain built for self-custodial BTC banking — borrow MUSD against your bitcoin at a 1% fixed rate, or earn real yield by locking BTC into the system. What You'll BuildApplications across three tracks that bring Bitcoin-powered finance to different audiences:Bank on Bitcoin - Replace traditional banking with Bitcoin-native finance: save, invest, borrow, and spend your BTC without ever selling it.Supernormal dApps - Build consumer apps where Bitcoin-backed payments feel invisible — games, shopping, tipping, subscriptions, powered by MUSD.MEZO Utilization - Give MEZO tokens real utility across the ecosystem: staking, governance, dApp integrations, developer infrastructure, and beyond.Who Should JoinDevelopers experienced with Bitcoin EVM tooling. You should be comfortable building financial or consumer applications and ready to ship a working demo in 6 weeks. This isn't beginner territory — but if you know your way around EVM and have a product idea that puts Bitcoin to work, this is your hackathon. All projects must integrate MUSD and Mezo Passport.
