Aerothon 2026 is a national-level aerospace hackathon organized by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in collaboration with IIT Indore, bringing together innovators, engineers, programmers, and researchers to tackle real-world challenges in aerospace engineering using data-driven approaches. From machine learning for aerodynamic prediction to surrogate modelling for propulsion systems and intelligent optimization of aerospace designs, participants will work on cutting-edge problem statements inspired by modern aerospace engineering challenges. There is no entry/registration fee for this event! Competition Format: Round 1: Online Screening Round Teams will select and solve one of the provided problem statements and submit their proposed solution, methodology, and implementation. The best teams from across the country will be shortlisted for the Grand Finale. Only the Team Leader needs to register and add their remaining team members. The Problem Statements are available in the brief/case section of round 1 after team registration Grand Finale: 24-Hour Hackathon at IIT Indore Shortlisted teams will be invited to IIT Indore for an intense 24-hour hackathon on 7th–8th August 2026, where they will build, refine, and present their solutions before an expert panel. The finale offers participants an opportunity to: Work on industry-inspired aerospace challenges. Interact with faculty and researchers from IIT Indore. Engage with experts and officials from HAL. Network with students and innovators from across the country. Present solutions to a distinguished jury from academia and industry. Compete for prizes worth up to ₹2,10,000. Who Should Participate?
