CryptX Files: Crypthunt About : CryptX Files is a 30-hour online Alternate Reality Game (ARG) and crypt hunt inspired by some of the internet's most infamous creepypasta legends. Participants will uncover hidden websites, decode encrypted messages, analyze images and audio files, inspect source code, and follow digital breadcrumbs across multiple interconnected puzzles to uncover the truth behind the files. Event Overview: The hunt consists of five themed chapters: Slender Man Candle Cove Eyeless Jack Ben Drowned The Puppeteer Each chapter contains multiple interconnected puzzles requiring observation, logical thinking, research, and problem-solving skills. Eligibility: Open to all college and university students Individual participation only Prize Pool: Rs 3000 Certificates for all Event Details: Registration Deadline: 5 June, 11:59 PM IST Event Duration: 30 Hours Event Dates: 6–7 June Mode: Online Total Chapters: 5 Multiple puzzles per chapter Progressive unlocking format (later puzzles unlock only after solving previous ones) Format: Progress through a series of interconnected puzzles and challenges Clues may be hidden across webpages, images, audio files, metadata, source code, external links, and other digital artifacts Event may involve: Cryptography and ciphers Steganography Source code inspection Image and audio analysis Hidden webpages and backlinks Logic and deduction challenges No prior crypt hunt experience required Creativity, persistence, and attention to detail will be valuable Rules: Participants must compete individually Use of publicly available tools and resources is permitted Any attempt to exploit vulnerabilities, bypass puzzles, manipulate scores, or gain unauthorized access will result in immediate disqualification Organizers reserve the right to verify participant details if required Organizers' decisions will be final and binding Note: Every clue matters Trust nothing.
