Aspiring founders run into technical barriers, lack of resources, and no clear path from "I have an idea" to "I built something real." The tools and mentorship needed to build a startup are often only available to people who already have access, connections, or money.
The Challenge
Create a product, platform, or tool that solves a real problem, the same way a startup would. It should have genuine market potential, a clear user base, and the basic structure of a business you could actually grow. Your solution should feel like the first version of a company you'd want to launch.
Focus Areas
- Problem Solvers: Tools that address a clear pain point in an everyday industry like retail, food, transportation, or housing.
- Consumer Apps: Products built for everyday people to use, save time, or make better decisions.
- B2B Tools: Software that helps small businesses, creators, or other startups run more efficiently.
- Underserved Markets: Ideas built for communities or user groups that existing products often overlook.
What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is a technical sprint. You will build a functional project, like an app, website, or software tool, that solves a real world problem through code.
Project Submission
Submit a 5 minute video demonstration covering:
- The Problem: What specific technical or social challenge are you tackling?
- The Build: A walkthrough of your codebase, architecture, and the stack used.
- The Demo: A screen share recording of the project working in real time.
- Scalability: How is this project built to handle more data or more users?
Prizes: Cash prizes for the top 3 teams.
Who Can Participate? Any middle school, high school, or college student. Teams of 1 to 5.
