Opportunity Description:
Software Project Competition – TechFest:
This competition encourages participants to showcase their creativity and technical skills by developing innovative software solutions. Teams will present their projects based on open innovation and demonstrate how their idea can solve real-world problems.
Eligibility:
Participants must be students.
Team size: 2–4 members per team.
Inter-specialization teams are allowed.
Inter-college participation is allowed (if applicable).
Competition Format:
Round 1 – Online Submission
Teams must submit:
A project demonstration video
A PowerPoint presentation (PPT) explaining the project idea.
Projects must focus on open innovation concepts.
Only frontend development is mandatory; backend implementation is optional.
Based on the evaluation, Top 25 teams will be shortlisted.
Round 2 – Offline Final Round
Shortlisted teams will be invited to the campus of D. Y. Patil University.
Teams will be given a mystery problem statement or task on the spot.
Participants must solve the challenge within the given time.
Judges will evaluate based on innovation, UI/UX, problem-solving, and presentation.

Rules:
Each team must register before the deadline.
Plagiarism or copied projects will lead to disqualification.
Teams must bring their own laptops for the offline round.
